There are important state representative races that will be decided next month. I want voters to have all the facts before they head to the polls for the March 20th primary election.
In the 49th district, there are two Republicans running to replace retiring representative Mike Fortner.
Voters will have a choice between Nic Zito, and Tonia Khouri. Zito is 28 years old. He’s never owned a home or paid property taxes, because he still lives at home with his dad. Speaking of which, Nic’s dad is former democratic representative and lobbyist Greg Zito.
Nic Zito has received large campaign donations from Chicago Democratic alderman Ed Burke’s committee, and FLH Holdings, another Democratic donor with ties to Mike Madigan.
We can’t afford to elect another Republican who will side with the Democrats and surrender the reforms our state so desperately needs.
The good news is there’s another choice in the race. Tonia Khouri is Chair of Economic Development and the DuPage County Board, a small business owner, wife, and mother of three. She’s taken a hard stance against raising taxes and she has a record of balancing budgets, both on the County Board, and within her own company.
Toni has saved DuPage County taxpayers millions through budget cuts and consolidation. She’s built up her business over the years from one man and one truck to now over 150 local employees.
Tonia will champion real property tax reform for families across the state who are struggling to stay in their homes.
We need an to elect an experienced, principled, conservative leader, not another surrender Republican. We need Tonia Khouri. You’ve been warned.
