(AURORA, IL) — The Indian American Republican Organization announced on September 27, 2016 their endorsement of Tonia Khouri for Illinois’ 11th Congressional District. The board came to its decision to support her via a unanimous vote last week.
Indian American Community in 11th Congressional District is made up of small business owners and highly educated professionals in the fields of information technology, health care, engineering, finance, law, hospitality and many more.
“Tonia has both the business background and forward-thinking vision that we need more of in Washington,” said Nimish Jani, Chairman of the Indian American Republican Organization. “Her commitment to help Illinois small businesses by reducing taxes while boosting economicgrowth and her concerns about our national security show she’s in touch with the residents of her district and understands the priorities of Americans today.”
The mission of Indian American Republican Organization is to educate, increase awareness and enhance participation of Indian Americans to promote a fair and transparent government in alignment with fiscally conservative republican ideals and core values to improve the future of our citizens. Krishna Bansal, Board Member of Indian American Republican Organization and a prominent Indian Community Leader said “Tonia’s record demonstrates her alignment with our mission and will be an ideal candidate to represent us in Washington.”

Khouri is a small business owner and currently serves as Chairman of Economic Development on the DuPage County Board. She resides in Aurora with her husband and three children. Illinois’ 11th Congressional District stretches from Aurora to Burr Ridge and south to Joliet.
