(AURORA, IL) – The United Hellenic Voters of America announced today their endorsement of Tonia Khouri for Illinois’ 11th Congressional District.

UHVA is a bipartisan political organization for voters of Greek descent and is based in Chicagoland. UHVA was created to establish relationships between Greek-American communities with other diversified populations, not of Hellenic descent.

“We believe that Tonia is the most qualified candidate and that we can trust her leadership and dedication for the benefit of our community,” said Dr. D. Kyriazopoulos, Honorary National Supreme Chairman of UHVA, in a letter addressed to Khouri, informing her of the endorsement. “We consider her to be a valued friend of our organization and a supporter of the issues that are of great concern to the Greek-American community.”

“As the wife of an immigrant, I’m proud to have the endorsement of the UHVA – an organization that has done so much Greek-Americans, whether new to our country to longtime members of our community,” said Khouri. “Their friendship is meaningful and I’m grateful for their support.”

Khouri is currently Chairman of Economic Development on the DuPage County Board and owns a small business with her husband. They reside in Aurora with their three children.
